Remington 51 Prototype
Prototype with Brown Grips - serial number 6360
This is the only Remington 51 I have seen with a number in this location. It does not have the usual PA prefix of a production serial number. If indeed it is a serial number, it would be from the 1919 production. This gun has no proof marks, either inside or outside of the frame or in the the hammer well of the slide.
