Ansco 70

Solution 1
Water at 125° F (52° C) 750 cc
Hydroquinone 25 g
Potassium metabisulfite 25 g
Potassium bromide 25 g
Cold water to make 1 liter
Solution 2
Cold water 1 liter
Sodium hydroxide* 36 g
  or Potassium hydroxide* 50 g
Mix equal parts of solutions 1 and 2 immediately before use.
* Cold water should always be used when dissolving sodium or potassium hydroxide because considerable heat is involved.  If hot water is used, the solution will boil with violence and may cause serious burns.

Ansco 81

Water at 125° F (52° C) 750 cc
Hydroquinone 35 g
Sodium sulfite, desiccated 55 g
Sodium carbonate, monohydrated 80 g
Citric acid 5.5 g
Potassium bromide 10 g
Cold water to make 1 liter
Do not dilute for use.

Times given here are for line work with film.
For paper development these developers should be diluted from 4 to 10 times more than for film,
depending on the developer.

Formaldehyde is carcinogenic.  Handle with adequate ventilation, or substitute acetone.
