Davis Mountains

A Doe

I was taking my early morning walk when I spotted this doe standing in the road. She let me approach her within 100 feet before escaping into the woods.  There are lots of deer in the Davis Mountain Resort, as well as javalina, wild turkey, bobcats, mountain lions, and black bears that come up from Mexico.  There are over 200 species of birds that migrate through the area yearly.
