The exterior is made of 1x8 inch boards screwed together and braced on the interior by two 2x2s and two 1x4s, which form the mounts for the fluorescent sockets. The top and bottom are 1/4 inch plywood. The whole is screwed together with 1-1/2 inch wood screws and is probably glued as well (that’s how I would have done it). |
