I am currently accepting travel assignments. (Other assignments are considered on an availability basis.) The goal
of my work is to bring home to you another culture, another point of view. Travel is a unique opportunity to learn about ourselves through others.
Photography. I photograph what is in front of me. One
of the things that I love about photography is that it is a natural complement to my desire to understand process. It is a perfect medium for me to utilize to interact with others in their
endeavors. It lends itself to meeting people from all walks of life.
I am a witness. I document process. An effective photograph draws
you in; makes you ask questions; evokes emotion. I love meeting people, talking to them and understanding what is important to them. Photography has taken me to junkyards, rivers, high rise helipads,
oil refineries, across the world and down the street.
The goal of my photographs is to enhance understanding, to communicate and to allow the viewer to form their own opinions.
Writing. I have been published in a variety of markets and venues ranging from the artistic to the technical. Currently,
I am working on a series of personal essays and a novel.
Background. I have worked on many political campaigns and founded a number of community based coalitions. I enjoy
the group process, the synergy that talented people create. I have done extensive volunteer work for such varied organizations as the United Farm Workers, Aids Project Los Angeles and The Natural History
Museum of Los Angeles and have a degree in business.
Me. I see problems as solutions waiting to be found. I love people and enjoy the bits of solitude in my life along the
way. I believe that everything in life happens for a reason and that we each have a path to follow.
