Childe watches wide-eyed as an
Ancient television offloads
From pickup bed:  uplink
To futures unforeseen
Where locality fails.

Childe dreams of mythic landscapes:
Leaves that glow luminous green
In grey pixelated light,
Flowers that phosphoresce beneath
Prehistoric ginkgoes.

Delicate halation
At periphery of vision:
Mind lulls,
While lifetimes unfold
Before and behind.
