The gun is similar to the 1903 Colt, but it has no grip safety.  The barrel turns counter-clockwise (when facing the muzzle) to disassemble, rather than clockwise like the Browning design.  The slide does not come straight off the front, but rather goes forward until the rear of the slide is just above the safety lever, then lifts straight up.
