Patent Drawing from Louis Schmeisser’s U.S. Patent 989,432, for the Dreyse 6.35mm Vest Pocket Pistol
filed 7 September 1910, granted 11 April 1911 (see also British patent 20660 of 1910)
Despite the fact that none of the patents show the lockwork, this patent by Louis Schmeisser defines the design that was used in the Haenel Schmeisser pistol and the Zehna pistol. The frames are all identical. The lockwork on the Zehna and Dreyse pistols are identical.
