Despite protestations to the contrary, it is likely that the Walther Model 4 owes some of its characteristics to the 1910 Browning, particularly the spring-around-the-barrel design, held in place by a bushing.  The Walther Model 4 is one of the few pistols ever made with a left side ejection port.
