Tansley Patent Drawing This is a simplified patent drawing from George Tansley’s patent number 1,234,961, filed 3 November 1916 and granted 31 July 1917. It does not
show the grip safety in the Browning Vest Pocket, but otherwise gives a good idea of the internal layout of the gun. Note that the trigger turns on a pivot and the connector angles steeply upward to the sear. The
hammer was eliminated in favor of an inertial striker.
