Unblinking Eye
The 1906 FN Browning and 1908 Colt

Tansley Patent Drawing
This is a simplified patent drawing from George Tansley’s patent number 1,234,961, filed 3 November 1916 and granted 31 July 1917.  It does not show the grip safety in the Browning Vest Pocket, but otherwise gives a good idea of the internal layout of the gun.  Note that the trigger turns on a pivot and the connector angles steeply upward to the sear.  The hammer was eliminated in favor of an inertial striker.
