Unblinking Eye
Mauser1910-1914-Banner

This view of the Model 1914 with the slide and barrel removed and the magazine inserted shows the ejector tipped upward by the right lip of the magazine.  The rear of the ejector/hold open catch is tipped backward and out of the way of the slide, but when the magazine is removed this rear projection tilts upward, holds the slide open, and also blocks the sear, serving as a magazine safety.
