This early Polizeimodell is from the Wayne Warren collection.
Note the “K.S. Gend. 205” (Kriminalpolizei Gendarmerie) on the receiver instead of the usual “DREYSE”, and also the smooth sides and crown over crown over U proof.  This gun is featured on page 216 of History Writ in Steel: German Police Markings 1900-1936, by L. Donald Maus.
